Die 80°-Variante der FLIR T840 ist auf große Bildausschnitte bei kurzen Abständen ausgelegt, etwa in Technikräumen, an Gebäudehüllen oder bei dicht gepackten Anlagen. Ihr 464 × 348 Pixel Detektor arbeitet mit einer Empfindlichkeit unter 40 mK; das 80° × 63° Objektiv erfasst breite Szenen ohne häufiges Umpositionieren. Inspection Route, Sucher und Funkanbindung unterstützen strukturierte Rundgänge, wenn viele Messpunkte reproduzierbar dokumentiert werden müssen.
